Alphonse Rallet and Frederic Dutfoy were also aware of this - two young French immigrants who in 1841 decided to open a cosmetics factory in Mokwa. The enterprise turned out to be successful - otherwise, in Russia hot interest is always caused by everything connected with France, beauty and fashion. The factory for the manufacture of packaging for cosmetics, built on a site of more than two hectares, quickly grew and expanded and soon turned into something much larger and more ambitious than the glass-blowing shop.

So, at the end of the 19th century, the plant was a huge complex that manufactured “pharmaceutical, perfumery, dining, chemical, confectionery, Cantydar and other dishes” having its own warehouse and retail store. Under Soviet rule, the enterprise was called the Kalinin Moscow Crystal Plant. During the period of the Great Patriotic War, production was retrained for the manufacture of goods needed for the front and hospitals, but then returned to its main specialization. 100 thousand tons - just so much glass and crystal gave out a powerful plant per day, a true giant in its industry.

After the events of 1991, a certain period of time the company was in decline. But in 2000, with the advent of new owners, the plant was reconstructed, while trying to bring all the premises and buildings back to life. What came of it?

Today the Flacon Design Factory is the center of dozens and hundreds of creative communities, art cafés, exhibition halls, co-working premises, workshops and media companies. The vibes of creativity, non-standard thinking and a very special way of living and working here are full of air - you can almost touch them! for example, there is a smithy here, where everyone can, under the instruction of an experienced master, forge a staple or stud.
