Autumn vacation saddens most Russians. Especially in 2022, when traveling abroad is problematic. You shouldn't be sad. And at home you can have a great rest! After all, Russia – a huge country with unique nature and rich history.
Valdai
Not far from the small town there is a park protected by UNESCO. 1585 km² forests, about 200 lakes, rich flora and fauna – Here is a brief description of this wonderful place. But there you can not only meet a lynx and a bear. On the territory of the Valdai National Park there are sites of ancient people; settlements; estates with beautiful parks; architectural monuments; local history museum.
For lovers of a comfortable stay, many hotels and guest houses have been created, for extreme lovers – tent cities.
The sights of Valdai are not limited to the park: the city has interesting museums and majestic architectural structures.
Sochi
The Caucasus Mountains protect the city from the cold wind. In autumn the air temperature is only slightly lower than in summer. Tropical fruit lovers will not go hungry. September – fig fruiting season. And at the end of October – feijoa ripens in early November.
There are no problems with finding accommodation: there are not so many tourists. You can find both a luxurious room in a five-star hotel and a modest room in a holiday home.
But Sochi has a drawback: sometimes the sea is dirty. On such days, it is recommended to go to the mountains or visit numerous attractions such as the arboretum and the aquarium.
Ryazan
Sergey Yesenin was born not far from Ryazan, in the village of Konstantinovo. In memory of the great countryman, a poetry festival is organized annually. On October 1, celebrities and unknown artists come to Konstantinovo to sing songs, read poetry and perform romances.
There is a Yesenin museum in the village. There, the guides tell entertaining details of the poet's life and show his personal belongings.
Sergey Yesenin is not the only native of the Ryazan land who has worldwide fame. Prince Igor, Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, Ivan Pavlov were born here. The city is decorated with their monuments.
Ordinary tourists will be delighted with the Ryazan Kremlin. Believers will like the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Monastery and other churches in Ryazan. And lovers of antiquity will be delighted by the Solotchinsky Monastery of the late 14th century – one of the oldest in Russia. During its long existence, the building has experienced a lot: destruction, destruction, restoration. The monastery was both a shelter for the troops of Ivan the Terrible and a colony for juvenile delinquents.
St. Petersburg
In autumn, Northern Palmyra is no worse than in summer. Stereotypes about the excessive dampness of the city scare away tourists, so ticket prices are relatively low. The cultural capital is indeed rainy. But not enough to refuse to visit it.
Peterhof Park is dressed in gold, like other city parks. A few tourists are provided with bright photos against the background of yellow, orange and red leaves. It is recommended to visit the Peter and Paul Fortress, the Catherine Palace, the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood. Golden autumn ennobles famous architectural monuments.
From September 27th to 29th, "Kino Expo" will be held in St. Petersburg – one of the world's largest exhibitions of film equipment. They will show the latest technologies, thanks to which directors create magic on the screen.
