Museum and Memorial Complex of the History of the Russian Navy

The Museum of the History of the Russian Navy has been operating for over 16 years. During this time, he has undergone some changes: «Submarine– museum» was opened in 2006, and in 2013 the Museum and Memorial Complex and the Park of Culture and Leisure "Northern Tushilo" were merged. After that, the museum became the way we know it at the moment.

Now visitors can get acquainted with the presented exhibits in the open air. Tours of the complex allow you to learn unique information about both the history of the Navy and the modern structure of the fleet.

To find the complex in the park, you need to go to the water area of the Khimki reservoir, where it is located. On the embankment there is a modern pavilion of the museum, which hosts tours of the history of the Russian Navy, the first floor is completely dedicated to Russian submarines and the submarine forces of the Navy as a whole.

As part of the selected excursion program, everyone can explore the internal structure of the B-396 diesel submarine and walk along its upper deck. There is also an opportunity to see and get acquainted with such exhibits as "Eaglet"; and a landing boat "SKAT". Visitors can see other types of military equipment of the Navy.

Since 2010, anyone with the help of a virtual control simulator, which is made on the basis of software and hardware of the Trans-Force company, can try to control the Orlyonok exhibit. It is a mock-up of a cockpit of a combat aircraft; the simulator operates both in automatic and manual modes. In manual mode, visitors can try taking off, landing and operating the device at night and in difficult weather conditions, choosing the route they like.

The exhibition of military equipment includes the following exhibits:

  • Paravan towed antenna equipment
  • antenna with tech nomination "Synthesis";
  • torpedo imitation;
  • buoy for emergency purposes;
  • Retractable equipment "Curtain";
  • Hall anchor;
  • TV detail of the MT-70 periscope;
