History of the estate
For the first time "Arkhangelsk" mentioned in official documents in 1584. Throughout the history of its existence, the estate belonged to several owners, among them Sheremetevs, Odoevskys, Golitsyns. Since 1810, the estate came into the possession of Prince Yusupov, who bought it for 245 thousand rubles.

The guests of the palace complex were outstanding writers, artists, musicians, historians, as well as representatives of the imperial court. The main palace of the complex is decorated in the style of Russian classicism. 
In 1918, the estate was nationalized and subsequently declared a museum. 
The main architectural buildings of the estate
     Grand Palace – the main house with columns, terraces and marble balustrades, the interior of the house is decorated with paintings, a collection of porcelain, tapestries, crystal chandeliers, antique furniture;
     Church-tomb of the Yusupovs – a monumental temple with a rotunda, was not used for its intended purpose, since after the revolution the Yusupovs went abroad;
     Church of the Archangel Michael – was erected in the 1660s, today the current church of the Moscow diocese;
     Gonzago Theater – named after its creator, an 18th-century Italian architect, theatrical performances were staged here during the Yusupovs;
     Small Palace “Caprice” – building in the western part of the park, a place of retreat for the owners of the estate;
     Pink Fountain – rotunda of the 19th century, with four columns of pink marble, in the center there is a sculptural fountain "Boy with a goose".

The estate is represented by three parks: an Italian one with numerous terraces, a French one with luxurious galleries, and an English one made in a classical style.
In the park area you can admire sculptural compositions, marble vases, flower beds with fountains.
Museum collections
In the palace collections, visitors can see 600 Renaissance paintings, old books and drawings, sculptures, furniture, table decorations, candelabra, porcelain dishes.

Today, the Arkhangelskoye Museum-Estate not only receives numerous visitors and conducts excursions, but also organizes lectures, festivals, thematic exhibitions, concerts. It is allowed to come to the park with your own food and have picnics.
