Winter – perfect time to visit Moscow. In the period from December to March, the capital is not only especially elegant and impressive, but also allows tourists to participate in various activities that are not available in other cities during the winter months.

New Year in the capital – one of the main events in winter. From the middle of the first month of winter, attractions, stalls with various holiday souvenirs appear in the city on the main squares, Christmas trees, shopping centers are dressed up.

Christmas fairs (start in early December), selling traditional Russian dishes right at the Kremlin walls – pancakes with caviar, pies and buns, felt boots and nesting dolls – all this will create a feeling of celebration and joy.

On New Year's Eve on Red Square, you can see not only enchanting fireworks, but also attend a concert. During the holidays, you should pay special attention to the festivals held.

For example, the Journey to Christmas festival is held at more than 80 venues in the capital. A «Ice Moscow» on Sparrow Hills will allow you to ride down the hill and see sculptures made of snow and ice, created by professional craftsmen.
