The Nikulin Moscow Circus is recognized as the oldest in Russia. Date of its foundation – 1880 The circus is located at the address: Russia, Moscow, Tsvetnoy Boulevard 13.

History and name

The circus building was erected at the end of the 19th century. merchant office of Danilov. In 1880, the institution opened to the public. At that time, a small number of spectator seats were located here.

Gradually, the circus was rebuilt and expanded. The legendary Soviet actor and director Yu.V. Nikulin was its permanent director from 1983 to 1997. The circus received his name in 1996. Since 1997, the institution has been run by the son of the great artist M.Yu. Nikulin.

Today the Nikulin circus looks very impressive. The height of its dome is 25 m, the diameter of the arena is 13 m. At least 2,000 spectators can fit here at the same time. Inside there is a spacious foyer and modern dressing rooms. The building has several comfortable rooms where trained animals are kept.
